Oleoestepa, the leading cooperative in the production and commercialization of extra virgin olive oil, has once again been awarded the prestigious Mario Solinas award, granted by the International Olive Council (IOC). On this occasion, they have obtained the third prize in the medium fruitiness category for their magnificent Estepa Virgin olive oil.
The IOC Mario Solinas Award is a renowned annual event that recognizes the exceptional quality of extra virgin olive oils. In this edition, Oleoestepa has once again demonstrated its commitment to excellence and quality, competing with the best producers globally.
The award has been granted to the Oleoestepa cooperative: La Inmaculada Concepción SCA, from La Roda de Andalucía (Seville), for a deposit of 32,000 kilos of Estepa Virgin olive oil.
“We are delighted and honored to receive this prestigious award,” declared Álvaro Olavarría, Manager of Oleoestepa. “This recognition is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our farmers and production team, as well as our firm belief in quality and sustainability at every step of the process. My sincere congratulations to all.”
Estepa Virgin olive oil is the result of a careful selection of olives from the hojiblanca, picual, manzanilla, arbequina, and lechín varieties, cultivated in Oleoestepa’s more than 60,000 hectares of olive groves using integrated production techniques. Harvested in October and November during the veraison period, Estepa Virgin is characterized by its intense green color, with an aroma of freshly cut grass and green fruits, and a full and balanced sensory experience on the palate, with always green nuances and a perfectly balanced intensity of bitterness and spiciness.
This award not only recognizes the exceptional quality of this product but also Oleoestepa’s commitment to sustainability, innovation, and the promotion of the culture of extra virgin olive oil internationally.
