🏆 Oleoestepa, the Best EVOO According to the OCU for the Sixth Consecutive Time!

The OCU (Organization of Consumers and Users) has just published its sixth study on Virgin Olive Oils, and once again, Oleoestepa has been selected as the Best Extra Virgin Olive Oil.

The study evaluated 23 olive oils available on supermarket shelves, from 21 different brands: 11 manufacturer brands and 10 private-label brands, including two organic oils and one with a Protected Designation of Origin (PDO). These oils underwent independent laboratory testing for physical-chemical and sensory analysis as well as evaluation of the information provided on their labels.

Oleoestepa has achieved the top spot as the Best Extra Virgin Olive Oil in the study for the sixth consecutive time (2003, 2007, 2012, 2018, 2021, and 2024). This remarkable achievement is made possible by Oleoestepa’s cooperative production model, which prioritizes excellence and the highest quality in extra virgin olive oil, solidifying its position as the leading cooperative producer of premium extra virgin olive oil.

As a cooperative that has promoted sustainability since its inception, Oleoestepa was the first to package Extra Virgin Olive Oil in 100% recycled plastic bottles. Additionally, 100% of the fields associated with our 19 partner mills are dedicated to sustainable production (Integrated and/or Organic).

The extra virgin olive oil from Oleoestepa recognized in this report stands out for its fruity sensory profile, with slight spiciness and bitterness. Its fruitiness evokes freshly cut grass and apple, complemented by medium-intensity spicy and bitter notes, characteristic of the Hojiblanca variety, the most prominent in our region.

Moreover, its exceptional quality is certified by the Estepa Protected Designation of Origin. This oil delivers outstanding results both in raw preparations and in cooked dishes, including frying. Extra Virgin Olive Oil is one of the healthiest products in the Mediterranean diet, and every day new benefits of incorporating it into our daily nutrition are discovered.
